Purpose:
The CANN-NET Website Committee will be an Advisory Committee to the CANN-NET Executive Committee and will have responsibility for providing advice on the development, maintenance, and content on the CANN-NET website. They will provide recommendations on the design, graphics, placement of content, and functionality of the Website. The mandate of the CANN-NET website committee is to enhance communication and awareness, by providing health care professionals access to timely, accurate and useful information about chronic kidney disease via the website
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide recommendations on the content, format and development of the CANN-NET Website
- To provide recommendations on how the Website is to be utilized by CANN-NET committees, and the general public
- To ensure the accuracy of the content displayed on the CANN-NET website
- To ensure the content on the CANN-NET website is maintained and updated on a timely basis
- To set standards for further website development and monitoring
- To coordinate the hosting of the website and maintenance of the domain name
Composition:
This committee consists of 6 to 8 members who are representatives of CANN-NET committees, the KT Broker, ad hoc members and support staff as needed. Two co-chairs will be appointed by the CANN-NET Executive committee and the co-chairs will help in selecting the committee members.
- 1 Member from the CANN-NET Executive Committee
- 1-2 Members from the Knowledge User (KU) Committee
- 1-2 Members from the Knowledge Translation (KT) Committee
- 1 Member from teh CANN-NET Guielines Working Group
- 1 Member from the Clinical Trails Scientific Committee
- 1 Member from the Pediatrics Committee
- KT Broker
- Kidney Foundation of Canada Representative
- 1 External Member with specific expertise in Website Development
Accountability:
The Website Committee will report to the CANN-NET Executive Committee and provide written reports and/or presentations as requested or required.
Meetings:
- Meetings will be held at the call of the Chair, as needed and at least 4 times per year.
- The work of this committee will be conducted via email, teleconferences and 1 face-to-face meeting (likely at the annual CSN Scientific Meeting).
- Email correspondence will also occur on a regular basis at the call of the Chair or a committee member.
- A teleconference number is available for the use of the committee.
